• Crime Prevention Tips

• Unattended property is a serious matter in the 1st Precinct. Watch your stuff!
• Safeguarding your handbag: In restaurants, rest your handbag on your lap. Don't leave it on the floor, seat or back of your chair.
• In stores:  hold your handbag close to your body with clasp towards you. Don't put it down (for example, to try on shoes) or allow it to hang from your shoulder.
• Safeguard your electronics: In subways, don't stand or sit in the train with your cell phone or music player visible, be alert and aware of your surroundings. Keep your cell phones etc out of site.
