Unattended property is a serious matter in the 1st Precinct. Watch your stuff!
Safeguarding your handbag: In restaurants, rest your handbag on your lap. Don't leave it on the floor, seat or back of your chair.
In stores: hold your handbag close to your body with clasp towards you. Don't put it down (for example, to try on shoes) or allow it to hang from your shoulder.
Safeguard your electronics: In subways, don't stand or sit in the train with your cell phone or music player visible, be alert and aware of your surroundings. Keep your cell phones etc out of site.
