Medal Day, December 2011
Transit District 2 was awarded the NYPD 2011 Unit Citation for the largest drop in crime of all of the Transit Districts throughout the city in 2011. Captain Paul Rasa was presented the award by Commissioner Kelly at the NYPD Medal Day at 1 Police Plaza in December 2011. Medal Day is an awards event that takes place every year to commends extraordinary accomplishments of various commands.

June 2011 Arrest of Male Wanted for Attempted Robbery of Firearm from Holster of On Duty TMTF officer. The defendant had 14 prior arrests including 1 Rape, Robbery and 2 Assaults
